Sub: -    Implementation of long overdue Cadre Restructuring in respect of Ministerial Staff, Survey of India – reg.

It is reported that the Cadre Restructuring of Ministerial Staff of Survey of India is pending for the last Thirteen (13) years, with the Govt. of India, Ministry of Department of Science & Technology. The Final Cadre Restructuring proposal was sent from Surveyor General of India to Department of Science and Technology vide No. W-762/709-Cadr Restructure dated 18^th March 2016 for DS & TS perusal and further necessary action.

Sir, the employees are much frustrated due to the inordinate delay in finalizing and implementing the cadre Restructuring. We are at a loss to understand why this much delay is taking place at the level of Department of Science and Technology in processing and finalizing such an important issue relating to the employees, whereas in many other departments the Cadre-Restructuring is implemented in a time-bound manner. Department of Personnel & Training has also issued clear instructions to carry out Cadre Restructuring in a time-bound manner.

In view of the above, the intervention of the Hon’ble Minister is requested, so that the Cadre Restructuring of Ministerial staff of Survey of India will be expedited and implemented at the earliest.
